Ombudsman jobs in Panchayat and Rural Development Assam

Ombudsman jobs  in Panchayat and Rural Development Assam:Applications are invited for preparation of a panel for filling up the post of Ombudsman under MGNREGA in the following districts.

  • Experience : The candidates should have at least twenty years of experience in  public administration, law, academics, social work or management and should not be a member of a recognized political party or banned organization. The candidate must be physically active and capable of conducting field tours, inspections and visits to remote rural locations in the districts

  • Salary : The Ombudsman shall be allowed compensation, in the form of a fee of Rs.1000/-(Rupees one thousand) per sitting with maximum upper limit of Rs. 20,000/-( Rupees twenty
    thousand) per month. Besides, TA/DA as admissible to class -I officers of the State Government will
    be paid for conducting field visit as and when required.

  • Tenure : The Ombudsman shall be appointed for a tenure of 2(two) years extendable not more than twice by one year each based on a performance appraisal process or till the incumbent attains the age of 68 (sixty eight) years, whichever is earlier. There shall be no reappointment

Selection process:

  1. Junior Engineer and Panchavat Sahayat: The candidates against the posts of Junior Engineer and Panthayat Sahayak will be selected through a written test. The written test will be of 150 marks and questions will be on the following subjects:
    i. General Aptitude
    ii. General Knowledge.
    iii.Numerical Aptitude.
    iv. Computer Skills.
    v. General English.

  2. Panchavat Development Officer: The candidates against the posts of Parchayat Development Officer will be selected through written test and oral interview. The written test will be of the same nature as mentioned in pars-1 above and candidates will be shortlisted as per merit in the ratio of 1:3 based on their performance In the written test The shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called for an oral interview which will be of 20 marks. The final selection will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by the candidate in both written test and oral interview.
